Region

The Médoc region stretches from the city of Bordeaux, following the gravel and clay soils of the west bank of the Gironde River all the way to the coast, some 100 miles further north. It encompasses the superior sub-region of Haut- Médoc to the south

Producer

A well-loved and consistently fine estate, located between Margaux and Saint-Julien, on the gravelly Medoc plateau looking out over the Gironde Estuary. This Mansart style chateau was built in 1854, and has had twelve owners since then! The vineyard is predominantly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, combining to give typically vigorous blackcurrant, plum and spice scented wine with firm yet supple tannins.
