Region

The region of Corbières lies within the western Languedoc, stretching from Carcassonne to Narbonne and the Mediterranean coast. It produces distinct red wines, blended around the Carignan grape variety, with a whiff of the wild herb scent of the Languedoc garrigue.

Producer

Since 1771 the Fabre family have been owners of Chateau Fabre in the village of Gasparet at the heart of the Corbieres region of the Languedoc. The vineyards occupy a succession of little hills with poor, stony soil, ideal for the regions important varietals of Carignan and Grenache.

Since 1771 the Fabre family have been owners of Château Fabre in the heart of the Corbières region of the Languedoc. The present owner, Louis Fabre, continues the ancient tradition and brings his own talents to the estate blend of classic varieties. The wine is concentrated with the fragrance of wild herbs and red fruits on the nose, summer fruits and woodland hints on the palate, backed by subtle oaky spice and soft ripe tannins.
