Region
The Languedoc is a vast region stretching across much of the south and Mediterranean and is France`s single largest vineyard entity for its Vins de Pays wines. Within the Languedoc lie several distinctly identified Vins de Pays (including the l`Aude, Gard and Hérault) and many generic appellations that maintain traditional local blends and wine styles such as Minervois, Corbières, Pic Saint Loup and Fitou.
Producer
Maison Maurel Vedeau was created from the partnership of two experienced viticulturists and winemakers, Stephane Vedeau and Alain Maurel. Now under the ownership of Bonfils, the winemaking expertise and skilled viticultural disipline is maintained from the winery and estate vineyards at La Baume. The range of varietal and generic Languedoc wines are immaculate; immediately flattering yet true to their terroir.
Tasting (Long)
This creative aromatic blend is fragrant with the scent of apricot and white blossom. The palate is lively yet fleshy, offering flavours of green apple and white peach with a crisp lemony acidity.
Tasting (Short)
A fragrant apricot scented dry white blend, which is lively with hints of green apple and white peach and a crisp lemony finish.
Food
Drinks beautifully as an aperitif and combines well with aromatic green salads, asparagus, oriental stir fry, seafood including scallops or prawns in garlic and lemon sole.
