Region
The Languedoc is a vast region stretching across much of the south and Mediterranean and is France`s single largest vineyard entity for its Vins de Pays wines. Within the Languedoc lie several distinctly identified Vins de Pays (including the l`Aude, Gard and Hérault) and many generic appellations that maintain traditional local blends and wine styles such as Minervois, Corbières, Pic Saint Loup and Fitou.
Producer
LGI were created in 1999 by forward thinking partners aware of the challenge and opportunity that lay ahead for regional French wines in the competitive international market. Wines are made and blended from three main sources; Saint Chinian in the Herault, Jean d`Alibert in Minervois and from Gascogny. Quality of Languedoc and Gascogne varietals exceeds expectation and presentation is second to none.
Tasting (Long)
This modern, dry rose from the Languedoc is unusually characterful. A beautiful coral pink colour leads to an inviting palate of summer fruits; strawberry and cherry and a mouthfilling creamy texture. Well made and eminantly drinkable with a subtle balancing acidity.
Tasting (Short)
This modern, dry rose from the Languedoc has a beautiful coral pink colour leading to a palate of summer fruits and a mouthfilling creamy texture.
Food
A delicious aperitif wine and perfect for al fresco picnics or barbecues and to match light pasta dishes, seafood salads, fish soups or mildly spiced oriental cuisine.
