Region
The Rheinhessen lies to the south of the Rheingau and includes many of Germany`s best-known wine towns. Riesling is less important than Muller Thurgau and Silvaner here, yet the wines have an attractive floral aroma and balanced acidity.
Producer
The family`s involvement in producing wine go back some 200 years, when their ancestors came to the village of Lonquich on the banks of the Mosel River, in the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer winegrowing region. Today the company is still in the town, producing a wide range of wines from the best grapes of the region.
Tasting (Long)
The vineyards of Nierstein, on the banks of the Rhein in the Rheinhessen district, provide classic mineral and citrus flavours from well-situated Riesling vines. Floral aromas of elderflower and honeysuckle mingle with ripe pear and finish with a touch of sweetness and lemony acidity.
Tasting (Short)
