Region
The largest appellation of France and the world`s greatest source of fine wine. Located in the southwest of France on the Atlantic coast, the region of Bordeaux follows the Garonne and Dordogne Rivers and their confluence as the Gironde as it flows north into the Atlantic ocean.
Producer
The Cave Bel-Air is owned by Maison Sichel, one of Bordeaux`s premier negociants. The Cave controls some 200 hectares of vines, working closely with the growers to produce high quality fruit, by controlling yields and the timing of the harvest.
Tasting (Long)
From the beautiful deep red colour with purple tints, there are black fruit aromas (blackberry and blackcurrant) with hints of spice. On the palate, generous extract, rounded and full, underpinned by strong tannic structure which lets the full fruity expression show through.
Tasting (Short)
Deep red colour with purple tints, there are black fruit aromas with hints of spice. Generous on the palate, rounded and full, with good tannins and full fruit expression.
Food
Grilled or barbecued steak, roast chicken and cheese.
