Parri Estate
Situated 250 metres above sea level and comprising 80 acres of vineyards, this estate enjoys the viticultural skills of Steve Bragato and the winemaking talents of Linda Domas. In 1802 French explorer Nicholas Baudin, aboard the ship `Le Geographe` named the Fleurieu Peninsula in honour of his sponsor Charles de Fleurieu, one of Napoleon’s ministers. The word `parri` was used by the Kaurna people, the traditional owners of the land in Southern Fleurieu, to describe the rivers, creeks and gullies that are part of the geography. The estate was founded by the Phillips family in 1998, planting vines in the area between Mt Compass and Victor Harbour, just south of Adelaide.
