Where old and new mixes to become contemporary.
Conti di Buscareto are an interesting example of mixing up the old and the new to produce something that is bang up to date.
They use grapes from old vines but when it comes to winemaking, they use the most modern methods, crowned with fantastic stylish packaging. The vines are Lacrima Nera grapes (Black Tear)a variety of red graoes typical of the area which encircles the town of Morro d`Alba.
The name Lacrima comes from the particular way that juice is lost when the grapes get to full ripening.
