New entry point wines for 2009

20 February 2009

Never has it been more important to offer great wines at great value.  And we have come up with some new wines to add to our current selection.

New to our list are Stonedale Chenin and Shiraz from the talented winemaker at Rietvallei, Kobus Burger.  These two wines are terrific value and the quality cannot be bettered.

E.S.Vino comes from Finca Sophenia high up in the Andes in Tupungato in the Mendoza region of Argentina.  These wines(three whites and three reds) have been crafted by Matias Micheleni the winemaker at Finca Sophenia and the label has been created exclusively for us.

Our two Salento wines from Italy have been given a makeover and a new name, Allegri. A new name for the Primitivo too, Meridia.

From France we have added four new varietals or blends which we think give you as good a selection for house wines as you can get.

Two whites from La Vigneau, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay and a Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are not only exceptional Vin de Pays d'Oc wines, but are attractively packaged and would be ideal wines for your by the glass option.

The blends of Le Pionner Grenache Blanc Sauvignon Blanc and for the red, Grenache Merlot, are Vin de Pays de Mediterranee and both display the depth of fruit, typical of wines of the region.

Lastly, but by no means least, two Terre d'Or wines, a fruit driven Merlot Grenache and a full flavoured Sauvignon Blanc.

We have added these to our new list alongside our current value wines of Duc De Chapelle, Los Caminos(we've added a Sauvignon Blanc here too) and La Playa.

These wines are available now.  Contact us for further information.
