It's time for sparklers!

With summer well and truly upon us, it's time to turn to some fizz.

Our two Champagne Houses wines are getting better and better and we have just started on Lenoble's 2005 vintage Rosé. Mailly Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs has the classic toasty flavours and a light mousse.

Our two Proseccos from Cantine Bortolotti are classic wines from Valdobeadiane,  and the Lagrein Rosato is delightful.

Two new sparkling wines from Pauletts Vineyards in the Clare Valley are unusual and delicious. One is a Merlot, Cabernet Shiraz blend and the other a Riesling.

But the new stars for me are the Sparkling wines from our new partners in Patagonia, Familia Schroeder.  The Rosa de los Vientos is stunning and has a touch of the Billecart Salmon about it.

I had never tasted sparkling Torrontes till I tried Deseado which has all the aromas and floral notes you would expect. The Saurus Extra Brut is the classic Champagne composition of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and doesnt disappoint.
